Location and Map
The Salmon Beary Inn is located in Cordova, a small community on the Prince William Sound in Southcentral Alaska.  The Inn is 6.5 miles from downtown just off the Copper River Highway at the corner of Eyak and Gandil Drives. Our neighborhood is next to the Eyak River, a prize river for catching Sockeye and Coho Salmon; salmon creeks are nearby also.  The Inn is surrounded by wetlands with many species of migrating birds; moose and bear occasionally wander by and snow capped mountains complete the Alaskan landscape.

As described by our Cordova Chamber of Commerce…..
Cordova is easy to reach (but not too easy) and pleasantly off the path of Alaska Tourism. We are less than a one hour plane flight east from Anchorage, with daily jet service as well as regular ferry service . Designated as an "All American Road" in 2005, the Marine Highway links Cordova with the road systems in Alaska via the ports of Whittier or Valdez.  See www.ferryalaska.com for details.

Now more accessible than ever, Cordova may not be for everyone, but if you're in love with wilderness, fascinated by history, attracted to unique places, and dedicated to adventure, Cordova is for you.
